[ About ]

We offer all-inclusive trail running camps that challenge, support, uplift and elevate women in their athletic journey.

Our philosophy centers on cultivating an environment where women can train as true athletes; embracing optimal nutrition both on and off the trails, enjoying ample rest and recovery modalities and finding the space to connect with themselves, their fellow female athletes and the wonders of nature.

From Red Desert to Traverse

After three incredible years, Red Desert Trail Camps is evolving into something bigger.

When Cristal and I started Red Desert Trail Camps, we had a simple idea: create the kind of trail running camp we wished existed.

We wanted more than just a weekend of running.

We wanted women to step away from work, responsibilities, endless to-do lists, and the demands of everyday life to train like the athletes they are. We wanted to create a space where women could reconnect with themselves, the land and each other.

What happened over the last few years exceeded anything we imagined. We've watched women tackle trails, terrain and distances they never thought they could run. We've watched strangers become friends. We've watched campers leave with more confidence, bigger goals, and a renewed sense of adventure. And we've watched a community grow.

As we've grown, we've realized something else. While we both love the desert (and always will), our vision has expanded beyond any one landscape. We love the mountains, the alpine lakes and the forests. We love wild places of all kinds! And why limit ourselves? We want to explore it all!

Most importantly, we love what happens when women gather in those places and discover they're capable of more than they thought.

So without further ado, we are officially becoming

The word traverse means moving across terrain, but to us it means more than that.

It's about moving across mountains, deserts, and wild landscapes.

It's about navigating challenges.

It's about growth.

It's about realizing that you're stronger, more resilient, and more capable than you ever gave yourself credit for.

It's about traversing whatever terrain life puts in front of you.
